2. History: “From the First Document to Today”
With the founding of www.eisenbahnarchiv.de GmbH in 2000, we are among the pioneers of online archives.
We are committed to the diversity of our growing collections, which is what sets our archive apart.
3. Our Activities
Publications: In addition to adding content to our online archive, we also publish our own materials. We also strive to have our work published in academic journals.
Lecture Series: Since 2022, we have organized annual subject-specific lectures for the town of Spalt. We are supported in this by renowned speakers such as Andreas Knipping, Dr. Brian Rampp, Rainer Heinrich, Leonhard Bergsteiner, Johannes Holz-Koberg, Günter Haslbeck, and others.

Documents, slides, digital objects, films, glass plates, maps, negatives, postcards, audio recordings, and magazines.Scope: Our archive also includes an extensive collection of printed materials on the subject of railways.
Highlights: Timetables dating back to 1849 and the oldest photographs from 1865.

Digitization: Currently, over 95,000 images from our collection are available online on our website.
