New railway line in Central Greece opened
Greek Railways had recently a historical change. From Saturday 10th of February 2018 trains run on the new double electrified line between Tithorea and Lianokladi (Central Greece - about 160 km north of Athens), leaving far the scenically mountainous single line via Bralos and Asopos Gorge. It means that trains go faster now, running through a double 9 km tunnel - the longest in the Balkan area. But now no more photos are possible for railway enthusiasts on old stone viaducts and rock tunnels. As far as the current report of our photo-author Thomas Agatsas from Athens. Thomas thanks a lot!
